ToggleHey Creative Crew!
I have spent months dreaming up this creative challenge for you! And, I am having so much fun!
Right now, we are working on adding our About Me page to our new art journal for 2026. If you are joining later in the year, no worries! You can jump in at any time. This creative journey isn’t time sensitive. In fact, it’s so low-key that it’s really less of a challenge and more of an invitation to just make stuff.

About Me Worksheet for Art Journal
I am a longtime journaler. I started when I was a kid and still have a box of old diaries, notebooks, and journals.
It can be intimidating to start a new journal, but often the first page is a prompt, something like:
This book belongs to: ____________
So, I thought we could maybe start our new journals with a play on that. I made a printable About Me page you can download and use in your journal.

A note about printing: I know not everyone has access to a printer. If you don’t, you can still download the pages and use them as a reference and simply work directly in your notebook. If you want to print, there are a lot of options online now for cheap printing. And, this may or may not be true, but I heard that you can print up to 20 pages (color!) for free at your local library every day, so that is also worth looking into!
About Me Page Prompts
This page is meant to be a creative snapshot of you, right now. Not a résumé. Not a personality test. Just a moment in time captured through words, symbols, colors, and intuition.
You can fill it out all at once or come back to it over time. There’s no right order and no right answers. This is about noticing what feels true, interesting, or meaningful to you in this season.
Below are a few thoughts and prompts to help you get started.
Name + Birthday
Use whatever name feels most like you. Full name, nickname, chosen name, initials. Your birthday can be practical, symbolic, or both. Some people like to include the year, others don’t. Do what feels right to you.
Zodiac Sign + Birthstone
If astrology speaks to you, this is a fun place to ground your chart basics. If it doesn’t, treat these as symbols rather than labels. Birthstones can represent color, texture, or energy you’re drawn to, even if you don’t resonate with the traditional meaning.
We’re just beginners, but we do have some resources for you to check out:
Rising Sign or Moon Sign (If You Know It)
This one is optional for a reason. If you know it, great. If you don’t, no stress.
Your moon sign is about your emotional inner world, how you process feelings, and find comfort.
Your rising sign is about how you show up in the world, first impressions, and your outward energy.
If you’re curious, we have an introductory guide and a link to a free online calculator you can use here: Astrological Chart Basics and Free Astrology Printables
Note, you do need to know your birth date, time, and location. If not, you can leave this space blank, add a question mark, or come back to it later.
Important Dates
These can be big life moments, anniversaries, beginnings, endings, or quiet milestones that matter only to you. Think less “should” and more “felt significant.”
My husband and I have six kids and six grandkids, so this isn’t enough space for my important dates. I wrote their names for now, and I plan to make a birthday page in my journal later on. I also added my anniversary and I want to celebrate that in a bigger way this year!
What I Do for a Living (or Go to School For)
This is about naming your current lane, not defining your worth. You can be literal, poetic, or playful here. Job title, passion project, season of learning, or “figuring it out” are all valid answers.
Where I Live
City, state, country, or even a vibe. Some people like geography, others like energy. Both count.
Favorite Colors and Styles
This is a great place to play visually. Write words, add swatches, doodle patterns, or collage scraps that feel like your aesthetic right now.
Hobbies
What brings you joy, curiosity, or helps you reset? These don’t have to be impressive or “Instagrammable”. Reading, walking, daydreaming, rearranging playlists, starting projects, and never finishing them. All welcome.
My Word of the Year
This is your anchor word. A feeling you want to return to. A direction, not a demand.
If you haven’t chosen one yet, that’s okay. Sit with words that feel expansive or grounding and notice which one keeps coming back.

My Intentions for the Year
Think of intentions as gentle commitments to yourself, not goals to conquer. How do you want to move, feel, create, or care for yourself this year?
Here’s a Picture of Me
This can be a photo, a drawing, a symbol, or something that represents you if a literal photo doesn’t feel right. The point is presence, not perfection.
I used a photo of my husband and I that I already had printed, and embellished it a little bit with some scrapbook papers, stickers, and cutouts from the printables I included in the free About Me download.

Using the Word of the Year Worksheet

Decorating Your About Me Art Journal Page
Watch me decorate my About Me page using the printable, a few basic supplies, and whatever I had on hand.
This is all about experimenting, layering, and letting go of perfection. There are no rules, just creative play.
Remember, There Are No Rules in Art
I know it can be intimidating starting a new project or looking at a blank page in a new notebook. So, I tried to make this as simple and low-pressure as I could.
My own first page has tons of imperfections, and I want to redo my first sticker set, but just like I tell myself, I am telling you:
- There are no rules in art.
- There is no right or wrong way to do this.
- Art journaling is for YOU. It’s YOUR journal.
- This is a creative journey.
- It’s okay to make mistakes.
- This is a safe place to try new things.
- You are a creator, and you were made to make things.
- There is no such thing as bad art.
- Just begin where you are with what you have.
