September Theme: Harmony
September Theme: Harmony
September feels like opening all the windows.
Fresh air moving through the room. Magazine clippings scattered across the table. Open journals filled with pressed flowers, crooked handwriting, faded photographs, tiny stars drawn in the margins, and scraps of patterned paper overlapping at the edges. Your favorite playlist is on while everyone cuts, glues, talks, and watches the pages slowly come together.
Nothing matches perfectly.
But together?
It works.
That little moment when it all comes together… That’s harmony.
And that’s where we’re hanging out this month.
A little softer. A little slower. Making things, noticing things, and seeing what happens when we give all the different pieces a little room to exist together.
Find your favorite spot. Let’s see where September takes us.
Creative Challenge
This month, we’re creating a Harmony Spread inspired by balance and symmetry.
Open your journal across two pages and start playing with symmetry. A pressed flower on one side, another on the opposite. Matching scraps of patterned paper. Shapes, little sketches, bits of handwriting, maybe a few pieces from this month’s September printables.
They don’t have to be identical. Actually, it’s probably more interesting if they aren’t.
Move things around. Layer a few pieces. Leave some empty space. Keep going until both sides feel like they belong together.
Not perfectly matched.
Just balanced.
Reflection + Intention
Where am I craving more balance right now?
Give yourself a little space to check in. No big answers needed. Just you, a page, and whatever has been floating around in your head lately.
- What area of my life needs balance?
- Where do I feel most at ease right now?
- What could I use a little less of?
- What would I happily make more room for?
- What parts of my life feel really good together?
Balance is going to look different from day to day. Let your answers be a snapshot of where you are right now, not a list of things you need to fix.
Affirmation
I can create harmony without expecting everything to be perfect.
Keep this one close this month. Write it across a journal page, tuck it into the corner of your mirror, or return to it when life feels a little uneven. Harmony does not require everything to be perfectly balanced. It can simply mean finding what works for you right now.
Tarot Card of the Month

There she is. Justice feels right at home with us this month.
Justice reminds us to pause, consider every side, and make choices that feel honest and aligned.
With her scales in hand, Justice is all about balance, truth, and seeing things clearly. She reminds us to look at the whole picture before deciding what feels right, what belongs, and what might need a little adjusting.
There’s something I love about the scales never being frozen in place. They move. They respond. They find their balance again.
Maybe we can too.
Pull Justice from your deck this month and spend a little time with her. Notice what catches your eye first, then see where your thoughts go.

Color Story
This month’s palette pulls from red jasper, the Justice card, and the first signs of fall.
Each color supports a different part of the Harmony theme:
- Jasper Red: grounding, strength, and steady confidence
- Antique Gold: clarity, wisdom, and balanced decisions
- Muted Olive: balance, growth, and renewal
- Deep Plum: intuition, reflection, and inner peace
- Warm Cream: calm, comfort, and openness

Crystal of the Month

Red Jasper feels like the friend who brings you back down to earth without making a whole thing about it.
Grounded, steady, and warm, it’s a stone connected with stability and balance. The kind of energy that feels nice when life is moving around you and you just want to stay rooted in your own little world.
Keep a piece near your journal, slip one into your pocket, or let it sit among the tiny treasures on your altar.
Nothing complicated.
Just a little something to reach for when you want the day to feel a bit more settled.
September Dates + Energy
September has one foot in summer and the other somewhere in a pile of fallen leaves.
The mornings start feeling a little cooler. The light gets softer. Maybe you open the windows more, reach for a sweater after sunset, or notice the first tree on your street beginning to change.
There’s plenty happening in the sky and around us too. A New Moon, a Full Moon, the Autumn Equinox, and that very fitting little handoff from Virgo to Libra.
Here are a few moments to notice along the way.
Seasonal + Cultural Moments
September 7 • Labor Day
A day with nowhere to rush off to sounds pretty nice. Sleep a little later. Take your journal outside. Start the project that’s been sitting on your desk. Or leave the day completely open and see what you feel like doing with it.
September 13 • Positive Thinking Day
Not every thought deserves permanent residence in your head.
Take this one as a little reminder to notice the good stuff too. Write down something you’re excited about, something that made you laugh, or one tiny thing that went surprisingly right today.
September 21 • International Day of Peace
A quieter day for our harmony month.
Peace can be a big idea, but it can also show up in small places. A peaceful home. A gentle conversation. Ten minutes without your phone. A little kindness passed between strangers.
September 22 • Autumn Equinox + Mabon
Light and dark meet in nearly equal measure as we officially move into fall.
The Autumn Equinox is also connected with Mabon, a modern Pagan harvest celebration centered around gratitude, abundance, and the changing season. Gather a few leaves for your journal, make something with apples, light a candle as the sun goes down, or simply step outside and notice what’s changing.
Moon Phases
New Moon • September 10
Dark sky. Fresh page.
The New Moon is a lovely time to get quiet and think about what you want to make room for next. Keep it simple. A word, an intention, a tiny sketch in your journal. Whatever feels right.
Full Moon • September 26
By the Full Moon, everything is illuminated.
Take a look at what has been filling your days lately. What feels good exactly as it is? What feels a little crowded? What are you ready to loosen your grip on?
Maybe balance starts with noticing.
Zodiac Energy
Virgo • August 23 to September 22
Virgo brings us into the month with an eye for the little things.
Organize the pile of art supplies that has officially become furniture. Finish the page you abandoned halfway through. Put fresh flowers on your desk. Virgo energy loves a bit of care, intention, and making everyday life work a little better.

Libra • September 23 to October 22
Then Libra arrives, and really… could the timing be any better?
Libra is connected with beauty, relationships, balance, and harmony. Play with colors that look beautiful beside each other. Make plans with someone you’ve been missing. Rearrange your space until it feels just right.
Very on theme, Libra.

Find Your Own Kind of Harmony
September gave us a lot to play with. Symmetry on the page, jasper-inspired colors, quiet moments, changing skies, and little reminders that things don’t have to match perfectly to belong together.
Take whatever felt good and carry it with you. Leave a little room for things to shift, change your mind when you need to, and keep collecting the pieces that make your days feel more like you.
Harmony will look a little different for everyone.
I think that’s what makes it so lovely.
