July Theme: Nourish – Restore Your Energy Through Rest & Creativity

July Theme: Nourish – Restore Your Energy Through Rest & Creativity

Whew! June flew by, and we’re still catching our breath.

Did anyone else blink and suddenly it’s July?

I feel like we were just talking about this month’s theme, and somehow another month has already come and gone.

The days have a funny way of filling up before we even realize it.

We’re checking off the next thing, moving on to the next task, already thinking about what’s coming next.

Before long, we’re just going through the motions without really stopping to ask ourselves how we’re doing.

Maybe that’s all we need this month.

Not another thing to add to our to do list.

Just a little reminder to slow down, take a breath, and check in with ourselves every once in a while.

July Theme: Nourish

Nourish theme quote on vintage paper background

Nourishment isn’t just about food.

It’s about the little things that help you feel like yourself again.

Sometimes that’s a home-cooked meal.

Sometimes it’s an afternoon making something just for fun, a quiet walk outside, an extra hour of sleep, or finally picking up that book you’ve been meaning to read.

It looks different for everyone, and that’s kind of the point.

This month isn’t about being more productive or adding another habit to your routine.

It’s about paying attention to the things that leave you feeling a little lighter, a little calmer, and a little more refreshed than you did before.

Those little moments matter more than we give them credit for.

Creative Challenge

This month’s challenge is to create a Watercolor Comfort Page.

Think of it as a page that’s just for you. Fill it with colors you love, things that make you smile, or whatever you’re drawn to that day. No rules. No pressure. Just create.

Grab your watercolors, put on your favorite playlist, pour yourself whatever you’re in the mood for (tea, coffee, a glass of wine… you get to decide), and settle in for a little creative time.

Play with soft washes, layer your favorite colors, add meaningful words or simple doodles, and let the process be relaxing instead of productive.

The goal isn’t to create a masterpiece. It’s to spend a little time making something that leaves you feeling calmer, lighter, and more connected to yourself.

Sometimes creativity is less about what you make and more about how it makes you feel.

Word of the Month

Restore.

Not fix. Not hustle. Not become a whole new person.

Just restore.

Come back to the things that make you feel like you. Rest a little longer. Create something just because it sounds fun. Spend time outside. Read a book. Laugh with a friend.

Sometimes we don’t need to become someone new. We just need to reconnect with the parts of ourselves that have been waiting for a little attention.

Journal Prompts

I love a good journal prompt because it usually gets me thinking about something I didn’t even realize was on my mind.

Funny how that works, right? I hope one of these does the same for you.

  • What needs restoration within me right now?
  • What has been filling my cup lately… and what has been quietly emptying it?
  • What makes me feel the most like myself?
  • How can I nourish myself in a simple way this week?
  • What do I want to make more room for this month?

Be honest with yourself, be kind to yourself, and don’t overthink it. Just let the words come.

Affirmation

I restore my energy with care.

Tarot Card of the Month

July tarot card of the month: The Moon

This month’s card is The Moon.

The Moon is a beautiful reminder that nourishment isn’t just about taking care of ourselves physically. It’s also about caring for our inner world.

This card represents intuition, encouraging us to trust ourselves a little more instead of constantly looking outside ourselves for the answers. It also speaks to emotional depth, reminding us that our feelings aren’t something to ignore or push aside. They’re there to teach us something.

Nourishment isn’t always something we can see. Sometimes it’s simply slowing down long enough to listen to ourselves.

Color Story

I always look forward to picking the colors for each month. It’s one of my favorite parts because once I land on the palette, everything else just starts coming together.

For July, I wanted colors that felt soft, warm, and easy to create with. The kind of colors that make you want to grab your journal, pull out the paint, and spend a little time making something.

Whether you use the whole palette or just find one color you love, I hope it inspires you.

I’d love to see how everyone puts their own spin on this palette.

Crystal of the Month

July crystal of the month Moonstone

This month’s crystal is Moonstone, and I don’t think we could’ve picked a better one for July.

Moonstone always reminds me to trust the process, even when I don’t have everything figured out yet. It’s a beautiful stone for tuning into your intuition, embracing change, and staying open to wherever the month takes you.

If you have a piece of Moonstone, keep it on your desk while you journal, tuck it into your pencil pouch, or set it next to your supplies while you work. If you don’t have one, that’s okay too. Let its energy simply be a reminder to stay curious, trust yourself, and enjoy the process.
